In news that shouldn't be all that shocking if you were paying attention, 'The Mandalorian' was the most pirated show of 2020.

Per figures gathered by TorrentFreak, the Disney+ show was previously the third-most pirated show in 2019, but blasted its way to the top this year. Prime Video's 'The Boys', meanwhile, landed in second place while HBO's 'Westworld' landed third. Further down the list, 'Vikings' and 'Star Trek: Picard' took fourth and fifth place in the rankings.

'Game of Thrones' securely held the title of most pirated show throughout its run, but with the show ending last year, 'The Mandalorian' shot to the top of the list in its absence. Intriguingly, none of Netflix's major shows - such as 'The Witcher', 'The Crown', or 'The Queen's Gambit' - featured anywhere on the list at all, while all of the top three are from three separate streaming services, requiring three separate subscriptions.

The figures from TorrentFreak are taken solely from BitTorrent, and does not include streaming sites or other torrent download clients, meaning the true figures remain a mystery.
