We could be tempting fate with this one. A 'Parks and Rec' reunion looks to be in its very early stages - if Amy Poehler has her way at least.

'Parks and Rec' ran for seven seasons from 2009 to 2015, and was created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur. The series followed a bunch of misfit co-workers who work in Pawnee, Indiana's Department of Parks of Recreation. Amy Poehler's character Leslie Knope is the catalyst of the department, and nothing gets done without the over-achiever.

Now, if Poehler's brief conversation with Variety is anything to go by, the actor seems to be keen on donning the "park lady's" collection of blazers once again.

She told them earlier this week that "I am technically available. I have like six of Leslie’s blazers in my closet, so anytime."

However, there is one slight snag in the tale, as co-creator Schur is currently busy filming Netflix's 'The Good Place'. She added, "Our king is busy doing his highly successful show, ‘The Good Place.' We really can’t jump without Mike. So when Mike is good and ready, I’m sure we’ll show up like good soldiers."

Poehler hadn't thought too far in advance of where Leslie is in her life, if she were to return. However, she helpfully suggested that maybe she’s "president of the moon".

Since 2015, the cast have all gone on to secure even greater roles in TV and film. Chris Pratt is now one of Hollywood's biggest actors, having starred in 'Jurassic World'; Aubrey Plaza has also enjoyed a colourful journey, starring in the critically-acclaimed 'Legion' and 'Ingrid Goes West'; while Aziz Ansari has had his own Netflix comedy series 'Master of None'.

It would be interesting if an eighth season did become a reality, would the creators even be able to secure the return of all of its cast?

To get you back on that "Parks and Rec' kick, here's a blooper reel from one of the best characters ever created for TV. It's Andy Dwyer AKA Burt Macklin FBI AKA Johnny Karate.

What do you think - would you watch another season of 'Parks and Rec' if it returned? Our jury is out on this one. Although it was great to see the cast return for a time-jump in season seven, it was one of the weakest seasons the show had seen.
